The Labour Welfare Commissioner under Union Ministry of Labour and Employment, has invited applications from children of workers studying in Government and recognised schools and Colleges for award of financial assistance for education at prescribed rates for 2012-13.
The children of those working in beedi, cine and mining sectors are eligible for financial assistance, according to Welfare Commmissioner T Koteswara Rao.
The students should not be in receipt of any other scholarship for the year 2012-13 in order to get financial assistance from this department. A certificate to this effect shold be issued by Heads of the Educational Institutions. Applications should be submitted in a prescribed format by the eligible students to the Welfare Commissioner, Labour Welfare Organisation by August 31
